Relics

When I was a teenager, my family home and all of our belongings were destroyed. Ever since, I have had an interest in personal history and memorabilia. Over the years, objects collected from estate sales have filled my studio. As I use these objects in installations and photographs, they have become part of my own history and Relics is a record of just a few of them. Using a flatbed scanner, I have photographed them alone, grouped together, and occasionally combined with miscellaneous clutter found in my studio. These images represent only part of that inventory.
